Approving or Rejecting Overtime Applications of Team Members
You can approve or reject an overtime application of your team member in the Approve/Reject Overtime page. Note the following:
Whenever a team member applies for overtime, you receive an email notification.
You should approve or reject the overtime application.
You can also, if required, edit the number of hours of overtime applied by the team member to the actual number of productive hours. However, you can only edit to a number less than the applied number of hours.
Your team member will be compensated for the overtime, only after your approval.
You will receive a reminder if you have not approved within the time configured for your approval, after which the approval is escalated to your RO.
To approve overtime applications or overtime withdrawal applications:
In the home page, do any of the following:
On the My World menu, click Actions Items, click Pending Overtime Requests and then select the request you want to approve.
On the My Team menu, under Team Attendance, click Approve/Reject Overtime.
The Approve / reject overtime page appears, displaying the overtime applications and overtime withdrawal requests of your team members.
On the list of overtime application and withdrawal requests, select the check box corresponding to the overtime application that you want to approve and then click Approve.
The overtime application or withdrawal is approved and the team member receives a notification regarding the approval. The overtime application record is removed from the list of records on the Approve/Reject overtime page
To edit overtime applications:
On the Approve / Reject Overtime page, select the check box corresponding to the overtime application you want to edit and then click Edit.
The Edit Overtime window appears.
In the Total Hrs Approved text box, enter the number of hours you have approved as overtime. This should be less than the number of hours applied by the employee (The number of hours displayed in the Eligible Hrs text box).
Do any of the following:
To save the overtime details, click Save and Close.
To save these overtime details and continue with the next overtime application, click Save and Continue.
The overtime details are edited for the selected application.
Note: After
editing the overtime application, you should select the record and click
Approve to approve the
edited
request.
To reject overtime applications:
On the Approve / reject overtime page, select the check box corresponding to the overtime application or withdrawal request record that you want to reject and click Reject.
The Reject overtime dialog box appears.
In the Comments text box, enter your comments regarding rejection.
Do any of the following:
To reject the application, click Reject.
To continue with the next overtime application, click Save and Continue.
The overtime application or withdrawal request is rejected and your team member receives an e-mail notification. The overtime application record is removed from the list of records on the Apply/Reject overtime page.
Note: To exit without rejecting the overtime application, click Cancel.
