Attendance Configuration Lite
Attendance configuration refers to the page where the administrator can configure the rules that have to be integrated with regards to the attendance based on the organization rules and policies. If the organization is using the Lite Attendance type, you can view and configure this in the Attendance configuration page.
To view Lite attendance configuration:
On the PW Admin menu, under Attendance, click Attendance configuration and then in the Attendance Type option, select Lite.
Attendance configuration page opens.

Work Hours and Shift Details |

Minimum work hours |
Displays the numerical field where the administrator can configure the minimum working hours of the employee based on the organization requirement. When the employee does not meet the criteria, then it is considered as loss of pay (LOP). The field accepts up to two decimal values. For example, the administrator can give minimum working hours as 7.50, which is equivalent to 7 hours and 30 minutes |
Single Swipe |
Displays the field where the administrator can configure single swipe as absent or present. For example, if an employee has only in-time or only out-time captured, then the configuration will determine if it should be considered as absent or present. The configuration varies from organization to organization depending on their policies. |
Daily Work hours |
Displays the numerical field where the administrator can configure the total hours an employee has to be logged in everyday as per the organization requirement. The field accepts up to two decimal values. For example: The administrator can give minimum working hours as 9.50, which is equivalent to 9 hours and 30 minutes |
Leave Inclusion and Exclusion |

Intervening weekly off |
Displays the field where the administrator can configure whether the week offs are considered as absent/LOP when a leave in between week offs. For example, if an employee takes a leave on Friday and Monday and if the configuration is absent days + weekly off, then the total absent/LOP is considered as four including Saturday and Sunday. If the configuration is absent days only, then the total absent/LOP is considered as two excluding Saturday and Sunday |
Exclude holidays in between LOP/absent |
Displays the field where the administrator can configure whether the holidays are considered as absent/LOP when a leave is taken in between two records of absent/LOP For example, if an employee is absent on Tuesday and Thursday and Wednesday being a company declared holiday then the absent/LOP will be two if the option Yes is configured and will be three if the option No is configured |
Exclude applied leaves in between LOP/absent |
Displays the field where the administrator can configure whether the leaves are considered as absent/LOP when an employee has taken leave in between two absent/LOP days. For example, if an employee is absent on Tuesday and Thursday but has applied leave on Wednesday, then if the option Yes is selected the LOP will be two and if the option No is configured then the absent/LOP will be three |
Payroll Period |

Payroll process period |
Displays the numerical field where the administrator can configure the payroll process period. A date range of 1-31 is only accepted |
Continuous absence |
Displays the numerical field where the administrator can configure number of days of continuous absence. For example, if the configured number of days is three, then the system will check for employees who were absent for continuous three working days. A date range of 1-31 is only accepted |
From email |
Display the email ID from which attendance related mails will trigger. |

To configure Lite attendance:
In the Minimum work hours text box, enter the minimum hours to be worked by the employee that is considered as present for a day.
In the Single swipe option, perform one of the steps:
To configure single swipe as absent, select Absent.
To configure single swipe as present, select Present.
Note: When
Present single swipe is configured,
then the minimum working hours will not be considered for any
employee.
It is mutually exclusive to minimum time.
In the Applicable to field, select the required configuration.
In the Employment Types drop-down box, select the employment type(s) to which the configuration is applicable.
In the Divisions drop-down box, select the division(s) to which the configuration is applicable.
In the Departments drop-down box, select the department(s) to which the configuration is applicable.
In the Band drop-down box, select the band(s) to which the configuration is applicable.
In the Cities drop-down box, select the city(s) to which the configuration is applicable.
In the Designation drop-down box, select the designation (s) to which the configuration is applicable.
For Example: When the single swipe is configured as Absent and in “Applicable To” session, Branch is selected as “Branch 1”and Department is selected as IT then employees who belongs to the Branch 1 and IT department will be absent if they do single swipe.
The masters created and saved in the master configuration will be populated in the Applicable To session.
In the Daily work hours text box, enter the total number of working hours in a day.
In the Intervening weekly off drop-down box, perform one of the steps:
To include the absent/LOP from the week off, select Absent days + Weekly off.
To exclude the absent/LOP from the week off, select Absent days only.
In the Exclude holidays in between LOP/Absent option, perform one of the steps:
To exclude holiday from the LOP/Absent, select Yes.
To include holiday from the LOP/Absent, select No.
In the Exclude applied leaves in between LOP/Absent option, perform one of the steps:
To exclude leaves from the LOP/Absent, select Yes.
To include leaves from the LOP/Absent, select No.
In the Payroll process period text box, enter the day of the month on which the payroll process period is calculated.
Note: Configuring
payroll process period as 24th means that the payroll process is between
25th of previous month
to
24th of current month.
In the Continuous absence text box, enter the number of days to be considered for continuous absence.
Note: In continuous absence section only absent is considered and not applied leaves such as on duty, comp off, applied LOP, etc.
In the From email text box, enter the email ID.
In the Path text box, enter the FTP server path.
In the User name text box, enter the name of the user.
In the Password text box, enter the password.
In the Re-enter Password text box, re-enter the password.
In the To email text box, enter the email ID.
Click .
The attendance feature is configured.
Note: All fields marked * are mandatory and cannot be left blank.
