Scale Master
Employee competencies and traits or characteristic are rated on a bipolar scale.
For skill competencies, the scale usually has points ranging from ‘poor’ to ‘outstanding’.
For behavioral traits the scale is based on frequency, that is, how many times the behavior occurs.
For example, an employee may be rated as ‘Very Good’ on working with a tool.
The employee may be rated as 'Always' on a behavior trait such as informing the superior about a leave.
The Scale Master page displays the list of rating scales that can be used in an appraisal template.
To add a rating scale to the evaluation template:
On the PW Admin menu, under Performance Management, click Performance Management Admin.
The General Setting page appears.
On the left hand side of the page, click Scale Master.
The Scale Master page appears.
Choose the rating scale that needs to be added to the evaluation template.
Click SAVE.
Note: The rating scales are predefined; you cannot add a new rating scale.
