Applying / Cancelling Overtime

In the Apply / Cancel Overtime page, you can:

When you apply overtime, please note:

 

To apply for overtime approval:

  1. In the home page, on the My Self menu, under My Attendance, click Apply / Cancel Overtime.

The Apply / Cancel Overtime Details page appears.

The details displayed for your overtime applications are:

Overtime application details

Field

Description

Applied Date

Displays the date of application of overtime

From Date

Displays the from date of overtime application

To Date

Displays the end date of overtime application

Eligible Hrs

Displays the number of hours of overtime, or the time logged-in after the original shift time

Reason

Displays the reason for overtime

Status

Displays the status of the application for overtime approval as:

  • Approved

  • Rejected

  • Pending

  • Withdraw

  1. To apply for overtime, click Apply Overtime.

The Apply Overtime window appears.

  1. Click the From Date text box, and on the calendar that appears, click the day from when you want to apply for your overtime.

  2. Click the To Date text box, and on the calendar that appears, click the day up to when you want to apply for overtime.

  3. To select the approver for overtime, click the Approver list box and select the approver. By default, your immediate RO is the approver.

  4. In the Reason text box, enter the reason for overtime.

  5. In the Contact Details text box, enter your contact details.

  6. To send a mail copy to any other employees, in the CC text box, click Select Recipients

The Employee Search window appears.

  1. In the Employee Search text box, press the Spacebar or enter first few letters of the employee’s name, and then select the name on the list.

  2. Click Add.

The employee’s name is added in the Selected Employees box.

  1. To add more recipients, repeat steps a and b.

  2. Click OK.

  1. In the Apply Overtime window, click Submit.

The overtime application is submitted for approval.

Note 1:             Fields marked * are mandatory and they cannot be left blank.

Note 2:            The Eligible Hours are the number of hours logged in, after your original shift timings.

Note 3:            Note the legends that indicate your overtime application status:
                     : Indicates that your application is approved by your RO
                    : Indicates that your application is rejected by your RO
                   : Indicates that your application approval is pending with your RO
 

To withdraw a pending overtime approval request:

1. On the list of overtime requests, select the request you want to withdraw and click the withdraw icon.

The withdrawal confirmation dialog box appears.

2. Click OK.

The withdrawal request is sent for approval to your RO.

Note   : Indicates that you have withdrawn your overtime application. You cannot withdraw the application  
           once your manager has approved your overtime.
