Adding and Editing Salary

You can add CTC details of an employee, update the CTC and calculate various components of salary.

To add salary details:

    1. On the HR menu, under Compensation details, click Salary.

The Salary page appears.

    1. In the Employee Search text box, enter the name or employee ID or press SPACEBAR (on the keyboard) once to retrieve the list of employees and then select the employee.

    2. If the employee is a resigned employee, select the Resigned employee only check box.

    3. Select the Enable FBP check box, if you want to enable the flexible benefit plan for your salary structure.

    4. Click the Select date from text box and on the calendar, select the date from when the FBP should affect your salary structure.

    5. Click the To text box and on the calendar, select the date till when the FBP should affect your salary structure.

    6. Click Add.

The Salary Details dialog box appears.

    1. In the Enter CTC / emoluments text box, enter the component amount of the salary.

    2. Enter the respective Band, Pay structure and Designation of the employee.

    3. Click the Effective date text box and on the calendar and select the date from when the CTC should be effective.

    4. In the Comments text box, enter the comments.

    5. Click Calculate.

The component name, proportionate per annum, per month, and total CTC columns are refreshed and the calculated amounts appear.

    1. Click Save to save the necessary changes made or else click Cancel.

The CTC details are added for the employee.

Note:            HR can calculate the employee salary or HR can change the band, so that CTC will automatically populate as per the band.

 

The table below displays the salary structure of an employee.

    1. Click to view breakup corresponding to the record for which you want to view the salary breakup details.

The Salary Breakup page appears displaying the component name along with per annum, per month and proportionate details.

To edit the salary structure:

    1. Select the check box corresponding to the record which you want to edit and click Edit.

The Salary Details dialog box appears.

    1. Modify the fields that you want to change.

    2. Click Save to save the necessary changes made or else click Cancel to exit the dialog box without savings..

The salary record is modified with the necessary changes.

To delete the record:

Note:               To exit without saving, click Cancel.
