Add Fields
As an Admin, in the Add Field page, you can add and edit fields for the hierarchies defined in the ‘Template Hierarchy’ page.
To view Add Fields
On the PW Admin menu, click See All.
Under Timesheet Management, click Template Management.
The Time Sheet Template page appears.
Click Add Fields under Time Sheet Template.
Add Field page appears.
The other two alternative ways to obtain add fields are:
To obtain the Add Field page, click Save and Next in the ‘Template Hierarchy’ page.
Click Add Field through selecting on bread crumbs at the top.
Add Field page appears.
The hierarchy of the template is defined in template hierarchy which is displayed in the header menu that is below the breadcrumb.
Select the template from the Choose Template drop down box.
The details will get displayed in the tabs.
Select each tab to get the hierarchy fields added.
The details displayed are:

Displays the name of the hierarchy field added |

Displays the description of the hierarchy field added |
Mandatory |
Displays the added hierarchy field is mandatory or not. If the check box is clicked, it is mandatory or else non-mandatory |
Active |
Displays whether the added hierarchy field is active or not |
Click Add to add hierarchy fields.
Add Hierarchy Fields window appears.
Enter the name of the field in the Field Name text box.
Enter the description of the field in the Field Description text box.
Select the type of the field in the Field Type drop down box.
Select the field validation from the Field Validation drop down box.
Select the display order from the Display Order drop down box.
Select the Mandatory check box, if you want the hierarchy fields to be set to mandatory or else unclick the check box.
The ‘Active’ check box will get selected, if the ‘Mandatory’ check box is selected. And if the ‘Mandatory’ check box is not selected, select the Active check box to if you want the hierarchy fields to be set to active or not.
Perform the following steps:
Click Save and Close to save the details and close the window.
Click Save and Continue to save the details and continue adding another hierarchy fields.
Click Cancel to exit from the window without saving.
To edit the hierarchy fields, select the required check box and then click Edit button.
Edit Hierarchy Fields appears.
Edit the required fields from the drop down boxes and text boxes.
Perform the following steps:
Click Save and Close to save the details and close the window.
Click Save and Continue to save the details and continue to edit another hierarchy fields.
Click Cancel to exit from the window without saving.
Click Delete to delete the edit hierarchy fields and the dialog box will get close.
Note 1: After clicking ‘Add’ button, field
name should be within 50 characters and field description should be within
250 characters.
Note 2: ‘Field Name’ and ‘Field Type’ are mandatory and cannot be
left blank.
