Excel Mapping

Excel mapping refers to the page where you can download some pre-defined excel templates of modules of the PeopleWorks application. The template can be downloaded and saved with all the required data. In some modules, excel mapping can be done from column name to excel column name where column name is the default name of the application and excel column name is the user defined name.

To view and configure excel mapping:

    1. In the PW Admin menu, under Configuration, click Excel mapping.

The Excel mapping page opens.

    1. Click the Module drop-down box, select a module.

Depending on the module selected, download link or a table containing default column names and excel column names appears.

CDM_Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contains the columns related to employee’s details like title, first name, last name, middle name, personal mail, father’s name, date of birth, gender, department, designation and so on.

EDM_Bank_Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to employees’ bank details like employee name, type, bank name, account number, payment mode, IFSC, and so on.

EDM_Certification

Displays the excel mapping template which contain the columns related to employees’ certification like employee ID, certification name, type, date of certification, score, validity, and so on

EDM_Cost Center

Displays the excel mapping template which contains the column related to employee ID and cost center

EDM_Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to employee details like employee name and ID, brand, process, branch, blood group and so on

EDM_Emergency Contact Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to emergency contact details of employees like employee name and ID, telephone number, address, and so on

EDM_Family Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to family details of employees like employee name and ID, dependant name, family state,age, relationship, working, and so on

EDM_Insurance_Family

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to division of insurance to family members of employees like employee name and ID, policy number, name, covered/nominee, membership ID, premium amount, contribution, and so on

EDM_Insurance_Others

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to division of insurance to person other than family members of employees like employee name and ID, policy number, name, relationship, gender, covered/nominee, membership ID, premium amount, contribution, and so on

EDM_Language Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to language details of employees like employee name and ID, language, mother tongue, read, speak, write, and so on

EDM_Nomination_Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to nomination details of employees like employee name and ID, nominee, nomination type, nomination state, age, relationship, and so on

EDM_Overseas

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to overseas experience of employees like employee name and ID, company, duration, project name, and so on

EDM_Previous_Employment

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to previous employment details of employees like employee name and ID, company name, company address, date of joining, date of relieving, reason for leaving, salary, reporting to, company pin code, date of joining, last drawn salary, job type and so on

EDM_Qualification

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to education qualification details of employees like employee name and ID, institute name, qualification, board/university, %/grade/division, state/location, and so on

EDM_Salary_Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to salary details of employees like employee name and ID, structure type, band, designation, and so on

EDM_Salary_NonCtc_Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to salary breakup details of employees like employee name and ID, structure type, band, designation, basic, HRA, conveyance allowance, PF, and so on

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to salary details of employees like employee ID, effective date, LTA, car loan, and so on

EDM_Visa Details

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to visa details of employees like employee name and ID, country, date of expiry, issued date, visa type, visa number, and so on

Leave_Management

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to credit of leaves of employees like employee name and ID, comment, from date, leave type, to date, and so on

Leave_Migration

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to transaction of leave of employees like employee name and ID, leave type, from date, to date, from session, to session, number of days, reason for leave, and so on

Training

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to training program that contains employee ID

Update_Employee_Basic_Info

Displays the excel sheet template, which contain the columns related to updating of employee basic information like employee name and ID, first name, middle name, last name, gender, DOB, blood group, PAN, and so on

    1. To configure excel mapping depending on the module selected, perform one of the steps:

A dialog box appears.

An excel sheet containing the column names opens.

Make the necessary changes in the column names and save the excel sheet.

Note 1:             To save the excel sheet, select Save.

Note 2:             User should provide the same notice period days as configured for the employees in the notice period configuration form.

Note 3:             To exit without downloading the excel sheet, click Cancel.

Note 4:              In Excel upload, the ‘Update Basic Employee Info’ template should allow to upload with the columns exactly similar with EDM template.

Note 5:  Wedding anniversary date and spouse name is mandatory if marital status is “Married”.

The excel sheet with user defined column names are saved.

Saved successfully message is displayed and the customer defined column names are configured.

Note 1:             To define the number of entries on the page, click Show drop-down box and select the desired number.

Note 2:             All fields marked * are mandatory and cannot be left blank.
