Work Shifts
Depending on the business of the organization, the working hours may be divided as shifts. An organization by default will have the general shift. In addition to that, depending on the requirements, it enables other work shifts also. The information about work shifts is used wherever applicable on PeopleWorks. For example, in the Attendance sub menu, the shift when the employee worked is recorded. An administrator can configure the work shifts of the organization in the PeopleWorks application.
As an administrator, you can view, add, edit or delete the work shifts in the Work shifts page.
In case, the organization refers to work shifts by a different name, you can include the name as an alias and the alias name is used for display wherever applicable on PeopleWorks.
To manage sections:
On the PW Admin menu, under Nurture and Manage, click Work shifts.
The Work shift page appears.
The work shift details displayed are:

Displays whether the work shift is active - Yes or No If active, the work shift is available for users to select wherever applicable on PeopleWorks, else it is not available |
If you want to add a work shift, click Add, enter the required details and Save.
If you want to edit a work shift, select the check box corresponding to the work shift, click Edit, make the required changes and Save.
If you want to delete a work shift, select the check box corresponding to the work shift, click Delete and confirm.
Note: Ensure that you do not delete records that are mapped to any employee records or any other data on PeopleWorks.
If you want to use a different name for work shift on PeopleWorks, in the Alias text box, enter the alias name for section and click Update.
