Cities

The organization may have branches in several cities. The information of the cities the organization operates in is used where applicable on PeopleWorks

As an administrator, you can view, add, edit or delete the details of cities in the Cities page.

In case, the organization refers to cities by a different name, you can include the name as an alias and the alias name is used for display wherever applicable on PeopleWorks.

To manage city details:

The details of cities displayed are:

City details

Field

Description

Name

Displays the name of the city from where the organization operates. The city is mapped to either a metro or a non-metro category. Used for HRA computation in IT and as a payroll processing filter during monthly payroll processing

City Type

Displays the type of city, either a metro or a non-metro category, for HRA computation

State

Displays the name of the state. The city is mapped to a particular state. This appears in reports

Population

Displays the population of the city where the organization is located, required for Company Owned Accommodation (COA) calculation in IT

Description

Displays any reasoning or information pertaining to the city, only for reference

Active

Displays whether the city is active - Yes or No

If active, the city is available for users to select wherever applicable on PeopleWorks, else it is not available

Note:    Ensure that you do not delete records that are mapped to any employee records or any other data on PeopleWorks.
