Bands/Grades

Employees are assigned to different bands based on their skills, roles or any other criteria defined by the organization. The information of the bands assigned to employees is tracked on PeopleWorks under Employment Details. As an administrator, you can add all the bands that are defined by the organization.

In case, the organization refers to bands by a different name, you can include the referred name as an alias and the alias name is used for display wherever applicable on PeopleWorks.

The band details also include the applicable salary range and notice period as defined by the organization.

To manage band/grade details:

The Bands/Grades page appears.

The band/grade details displayed are:

Band details

Field

Description

Name

Displays the name of the band

From CTC

Displays the lower limit for this band

To CTC

Displays the upper limit for this band

Description

Displays the description of the band

Active

Displays whether the band is active - Yes or No

If active, the band is available for the users to select wherever applicable on PeopleWorks, else it is not available

Note:    Ensure that you do not delete records that are mapped to any employee records or any other data on PeopleWorks.

Note:     Fields marked * are mandatory and cannot be left blank, system will not allow the  user to save the page if any of the mandatory fields are not entered.
