Default Password Details

Default password details page refers to configuration of a password by administrator. The employee uses the default password to login the application for the first time. You can configure the password expiry days and configure the expiry notification days.

To view and configure default password:

1. In the PW Admin menu, under Configuration, click Default password Details .

The Default password page opens.

The default password details displayed are:

• To Enable Password Policy, click Yes.

Under Set Policy section, perform the following steps:

1. Default Minimum Character Length will be displayed as it is non-editable field.

2. In the Default Maximum Character Length text box, enter the maximum character.

3. To enable Special Character Required, click Yes or else click No.

4. To enable Numerical Digit Required, click Yes or else click No.

5. To enable Uppercase Required, click Yes or else click No.

6. To enable Prevent Repeated Password Occurance, click Yes or else click No.

7. In the Default Password text box, enter a default password.

8. In the Password Reset in Days text box, enter a password reset in days.

9. In the Alert for Password Reset in Days text box, enter an alert for password reset in days.

10. In the Number of Days Temporary Password Active text box, enter the number of days.

11. In the Number of Wrong Password Attempts text box, enter the number of wrong password attempts.

Note:    All fields marked * are mandatory and cannot be left blank.

12. Click Save to configure the password settings.

• If you click No in the Enable Password Policy option.

Under Set Policy section, perform the following steps:

1. To enable Prevent Repeated Password Occurrence, click Yes or else click No.

2. In the Default Password text box, enter a default password.

3. In the Password Reset in Days text box, enter a password reset in days.

4. In the Alert for Password Reset in Days text box, enter an alert for password reset in days.

5. In the Number of Days Temporary Password Active text box, enter the number of days.

6. In the Number of Wrong Password Attempts text box, enter the number of wrong password attempts.

7. Click Save to configure the password settings.
