Configuring Separation Process
To configure separation process:
On the PW Admin menu, under Separation, click Separation admin.
On the left navigation pane, click Configuration settings.
In the Exit interview drop-down box, select the exit interview form you want to map to the separation process.
In the Exit interview by options, select one of the following options:
HR
Employee
Note: If you select HR, the exit interview link is available in HR->Separation->Separation Queue and employees can
participate in the exit interview after their resignation is approved.
If you select Employee, the Complete Exit Interview link is available in the Employee’s My To Do List grid box,
which redirects to the Submit Resignation page. Here the employee can click View under Exit interview column
and can fill and save the exit interview form.
If escalation is required for separation approvals, select the Escalation Required check box, else clear the check box.
The Escalation after text box is available.
In the Escalation after (days) text box, enter the number of days after which the resignation application is escalated to the next higher level on the mapped approvers list.
Note 1: The order of the approvers is defined in Separation approvers.
The higher level management has to approve the resignation application of an employee.
Note 2: Use a comma as a separator if you want to set multiple escalations after days.
In the Handover approval checklist queue days text box, enter the number of days before the relieving date that the handover checklist should be sent for approval.
Note: Once handover checklist is approved, the employee cannot access PeopleWorks and should fill up the exit
interview form at the HR desk.
In the Reminder days text box, enter the number of days after which reminder is sent for actions to the Reporting officer.
Note: Use a comma as a separator if you want to set multiple reminders.
Click Save.
