Adding Separation Reasons

To add a separation reason:

  1. On the PW Admin menu, under Separation, click Separation admin.

  2. On the left navigation pane, click Separation reason.

  3. Click Add.

The Add Separation Reason dialog box appears:

  1. In the Reason text box, enter the reason that can be selected in the separation process on PeopleWorks

  2. In the Mode of Separation drop-down box, select any one of the following modes of separation that is applicable for the defined reason: Employee Resigned, Forced, Demise, Absconded, Terminated

  3. In the Description text box, enter a meaningful description of the checklist template.

  4. If the separation reason has to be available for an employee to select on submission of resignation on PeopleWorks, select the For Employee check box, else clear the check box.

For example, reason of resignation such as commuting problem or better career prospects can be selected by employees, whereas reasons like poor performance or violation of company policies can be selected only by HR.

  1. If the separation reason has to be available in the separation process, select the Active check box, else clear the check box.

  2. Perform one of the following steps:

  3. To save the separation reason and close the dialog box, click Save and Close.

  4. To save the separation reason and continue adding another reason, click Save and Continue.

Note 1:             To exit the dialog box without saving, click Cancel.

Note 2:             Fields marked * are mandatory and cannot be left blank.
