Default Password

Default password page refers to configuration of a password by administrator. The employee uses the default password to login the application for the first time. You can configure the password expiry days and configure the expiry notification days.

To view and configure default password:

  1. In the PW Admin menu, under Configuration, click Default password.

The Default password page opens.

The default password details displayed are:

Displays the default password configured by the administrator

Force change password

Displays the option where the administrator can configure whether the employee needs to change the password on first login

Password expires in

Displays the number of days in which the configured password expires

Expiry notification

Displays the number of days from when the system gives notification about password expiry

  1. Click the Default Password text box, enter a default password.

  2. Perform one of the steps:

  3. To maintain the same default password, select No.

  4. To force change in the default password, select Yes.

  1. Click the Password Expires in text box, enter the number of days in which the password expires.

  2. Click the Expiry Notification text box, enter the number of days in which the system gives notification about password expiry.

Note 1:             The Password Expires in and Expiry Notification are activated only when Yes option is selected.

Note 2:             All fields marked * are mandatory and cannot be left blank.
