Resigning on Behalf of Employees

You can resign on behalf of the employee, if the employee is unavailable to do so.

To resign on behalf of an employee:

  1. On the HR menu, under Separation, click Forced separation.

The Forced Separation page appears.

  1. In the Employee search text box, press SPACEBAR or enter the first few characters of the employee name or employee ID and on the list, select the employee and then click Submit Resignation.

The Resignation Details dialog box appears, displaying the employee name in the Employee text box, the current date in the Applied date text box, the notice period defined for the employee in the Notice period text box, and the names of approvers in the Approvers text box.

  1. Click the Resignation date box and on the calendar, select the date of resignation for the employee.

  2. Click the Relieving date box and on the calendar, select the date when the employee will be relieved.

  3. In the Reason drop-down box, select the reason for resignation of employee.

  4. In the Comments text box, enter any relevant comments.

  5. Click Apply.

The resignation is applied for the employee.

Note:               To exit the dialog box without saving, click Cancel.
