Viewing Labour Welfare Fund Details
Labor Welfare Fund (LWF) is administered by the Ministry of Labor, government of India, in order to provide social security to unorganized labors. It is a deduction made from the employee’s wages as well as from the employer. The purpose of this fund is to provide housing, medical care, education and recreational facilities to employees and their families.
As an administrator, you can view, add, edit or delete the LWF details in the LWF page.
To view labour welfare fund details:
On the PW Admin menu, under Payroll Admin, click LWF.
The LWF page appears.
The LWF details displayed are:

Displays the name by which the configured LWF is referred. |
State |
Displays the state where the LWF is applicable. |
LWF Slab |
Displays the configured slabs and corresponding LWF amounts |
Ded. Frequency |
Displays the deduction frequency of LWF |
Contribution Period |
Displays the period during which the LWF contribution is applicable. |
Due Dates |
Displays the due date for reminding admin through e-mail about the LWF due for the month. |
Active |
Displays whether the LWF is active - Yes or No If active, the LWF is available for employees on PeopleWorks, else it is not available. |
If you want to add details of a new professional tax, click Add, and in the Add LWF dialog box, enter the required details and save.
If you want to edit details of an existing professional tax, select the check box corresponding to the professional tax, click Edit, and in the Edit LWF dialog box, make the required changes and save.
If you want to delete details of an existing professional tax, select the check box corresponding to the professional tax, click Delete and confirm.
