  1. How do I add a Component?

The Component sub menu (PW Admin>>CTC) allows you to add a component. To add a component, perform the procedure Adding Components.

 

  1. I want to show few components under a particular heading in Pay Slip (For e.g.: Earning, Deduction)

The Groups sub menu (PW Admin>> CTC) allows you to show few components under a particular heading in pay Slip. To show components under one group, perform the procedure Adding Groups.

 

  1. I am unable to select the pay structure for employees while adding salary details for them.

This issue is happening because the band pay structure mapping has not been done yet. The Band-pay structure mapping sub menu (PW Admin>>CTC) allows you to map the band to the pay structure. To do band pay structure mapping, perform the procedure Mapping Bands to Pay Structures.

 

  1. While adding salary details for an employee manually, Add button does not show any pop up window.

This issue is happening because the Band is not yet mapped against the employee. The Current organization details sub menu allows you to map the band to the employee (HR >>Employee details). To map the Band against an employee, perform the procedure Editing Current Organization.

 

  1. Can I (HR) change previous salary of employees?

No, system will not allow you to edit previous salary of an employee. Following are the impacts of editing the previous salary details:

 

  1. How do I create a pay structure?

The Pay Structures sub menu (PW Admin>>CTC) allows you to create a pay structure. To create a pay structure, perform the procedure Adding Pay Structures.

 

  1. How to upload salary details?

To upload salary details, perform the following steps:

  1. The Excel Mapping sub menu (PW Admin>>Configuration), allows you to download the file and make changes to it.

  2. The EDM Excel Upload sub menu (PW Admin>>Configuration), allows you to upload the file.

To upload the salary details, perform the procedure Excel Mapping and EDM Excel Upload.

Note:                Review type is applicable only if performance module is enabled.

  1. Can we remove Special allowance from the pay structure?

The Special allowance is a system defined component. As a result, it cannot be removed from the pay structure.  

 

  1. Can we disable employee planning?

In the Component page (PW Admin>>CTC), clear the check box against Allow employee to plan while editing the component. This will disable employee planning. To edit a component, perform the procedure Adding Components.

 

  1. I want to change the employee FBP from monthly to yearly or vice versa. How do I do?

In the Component page (PW Admin>>CTC), you can change the Planning Type from Monthly to Yearly (or yearly to monthly) while editing the component. To edit the FBP component, perform the procedure Adding Components.

 

  1. Although the components are made flexible, the employee is unable to edit the values in FBP page.

The Salary sub menu under (HR >>Compensation) allows you to edit the values in FBP page. To edit the values in FBP page, perform the procedure Adding and Editing Salary.

 

  1. How to enable FBP planning for employees across the organization?

The Organization Details sub menu (PW Admin>>Nurture and Manage) allows enabling FBP planning for employees. To enable FBP planning for employees across the organization, perform the procedure Organization Details.

Note:             The start date and end date entered in the months should be before payroll processing date.

  1. What is the difference between Plan upload and Salary upload?
